A protocol on paper is only a hypothesis until it's tested on a real farm.
That's the work SaferGardens does. Based in Trinidad, Celsius Valens Limited develops the underlying crop-health science, and SaferGardens is the field team that puts it into practice — training farmers and field staff, running trials, and treating real crop-health problems: cocoa affected by Witches' Broom, banana facing Moko and Fusarium, coconut in decline.
Our role is to confirm, honestly and in the field, what actually works — and to keep refining it season after season.
Mission
SaferGardens exists to turn crop-health protocols into field-proven systems that smallholder farmers can use, repeat, and rely on.
Our work starts on the ground — with farmers, field teams, and institutional partners managing real pest and disease pressure on active crops.
We prioritize practical deployment: monitoring outcomes, tracking reinfection, and reporting results back so that protocols keep improving with every season.

Technical Focus
SaferGardens is based in Trinidad and administered by Celsius Valens Limited, responsible for the agricultural field execution of crop-health protocols across cocoa, coconut, banana, and other tropical crops where farmers face disease complexes, pest complexes, and high treatment costs.
That work includes training farmers and field staff, running structured field trials, and carrying out spot checks to confirm that results hold up outside controlled conditions. SaferGardens also works directly with donor agencies active in the field, coordinating on-the-ground efforts alongside institutional partners.
The goal is to make Celsius Valens Limited's crop-health systems provable in the field — affordable for smallholders, repeatable across sites, and validated with farmers, agronomists, institutions, and development partners.
